Mission Statement: Change lives through random acts of kindness while raising awareness about sudden cardiac arrest and anti-bullying
Vision Statement: To reduce adolescent sudden cardiac death and eliminate bullying that can lead to violence in urban communities.
Purpose:
The sole reason we exist is to keep the heart of Gabriel Michael Jacobs beating by sharing his spirit of giving and always helping those around him. We do that through random acts of kindness that allow us to share the message of anti-bullying as well as raising awareness of sudden pediatric cardiac death.
Gabe was a lover of people both young and old. He could be found encouraging those 3 times his age as they grappled with self esteem issues due to their physical appearance.
In school, students came to Gabe for comfort when they were being bullied. At his height (5’10) and size (215 lbs), Gabe could have taken the obvious path to squash any disagreements between his peers. Instead, he chose peer mediation and conflict resolution by bringing the parties together to discuss and resolve their issues. With Gabe’s larger than life presence yet gentle demeanor, he was affectionately known as “Guardian Gabe.”
